Enamel Pin - Mr. Nobody

This pin features blue and white enamel on silver, inspired by Michael Lin's 2012 exhibition at PEM. The Jingdezhen-made Mr. Nobody figure was one of the earliest Chinese porcelain representations of a European. It derives from a 1690s English earthenware figure, which was itself based on a 1590s Elizabethan play, "Nobody and Somebody", satirizing class inequality.
